Duties:
• Creates a technical vision for the company and leads the implementation of new technical projects or product lines.
• Contributes to general business planning regarding technology and systems required to maintain company operations and competitiveness.
• Recognizes new developments in information systems technology, and anticipates organizational modifications.
• Establishes long-term needs for information systems, and plans strategy for developing systems and acquiring hardware to meet application needs.
• Ensures confidentiality and reliability of corporate data, proprietary information, and intellectual property. Functions as top level contact to assist end users in determining IS requirements and solutions.
• Manages the requirements collection process for large-scale projects
• Determines IT project priorities across the business with input from the COO and other executives
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
• Excellent resource and team management with a track record (10-15 years) of achieving results in technology management
• Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
• Previous experience as “C” level Information Technology executive
• Previous experience as a software developer
Specific Skills:
• Strong knowledge of application development, web development and network engineering
• Strong influencing/negotiation skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of business and technology trends and strong interpersonal/relationship management skills
• Previous experience implementing and supporting Enterprise Resource Planning system
• Experience at leading team in the design and development of externally facing websites using Microsoft .NET and C#
• Experience in Agile software development highly desirable
• Experience in project management required and PMI certification highly desirable
• Background in interactive technology thru global internet and/or television
